Overview:

This workshop is designed to empower women with the skills, knowledge and confidence to meet the challenges they face in their professional and personal life.

In this workshop skills will be taught through a combination of theory and practice. This approach allows each participant the opportunity to gain confidence in their abilities and to practice the skills in a safe environment. Skills will include leadership, diplomacy, and peace building.  

Also in this workshop, participants will learn the difference between assertiveness and aggressiveness, how to be assertive without being aggressive, how to communicate more effectively, how to make a positive personal impact, how to manage time and how to lead, organize and delegate.

Participants will also learn a lot about themselves, their effective and ineffective behavior, how to change and how to put the new skills into practice in the workplace.

Diplomats in Control

In this workshop, diplomats and professional will focus on learning the secret to working smarter rather than harder with an acquired learning on how to use a priority matrix and achieving results they desire through others. Participants will learn the value of creating and maintaining a short term and long term plan for office efficiency.

The life of a diplomat is challenging on a daily basis. The emphasis on diplomats in control provides a structure for diplomats on how to get it together on short notice when pulled in all directions. One of the keys of diplomats in control is to de-clutter and organize one’s life in a manageable way. Women diplomats and profession face the additional challenge of maintaining a life balance, of a professional, mother and wife

Theoretical information will be provided so participants have a solid understanding of mind mapping for planning, problem solving and creative thinking. Right brain and left theory is important to know in finding the balance of between masculine logical and the feminine intuition brain.

Communication Skills for Diplomats

This specialized workshop focuses on communication skills to enhance the role of the diplomat in his daily professional life. The importance of understanding and using verbal and non-verbal communications skills will be high lighted.   Participants will learn the art of networking in terms of making conversations and connections by communicating with confidence and knowing the most effective way to say no. Diplomats are a representative of their office and country as well in the public arena.

Political savvy skills and mastering the art of assertive versus aggressive communication is a must for diplomats. They are paramount for professional female diplomats. Understanding non-verbal and verbal cues in communication will assist diplomats to overcome cultural biases and discomfort associated with exercising the perceived power related to their position. A special emphasis will be placed on understanding gender differences, personality types and how to deal with them.

Certificate of Attendance

All conference participants will be awarded an official certificate of attendance upon completion of the program. Each certificate will be signed by members and the President of GDC.

The GDC reserves the right to cancel the activity, events,classes up to 15 days before the starting date. In that case, registration fees received will be fully reimbursed. The GDC accepts no responsibility for any costs incurred (travel, accommodation etc.)
You will not be charged for cancellation up to 15 days before the course starts. For cancellations less than two weeks prior to the course we charge 50% of the registration fee.  The full registration fee is charged for cancellations less than one week before the course begins.
